For those who are nostalgic for the ancient atmosphere of restaurants in Vietnam, a visit to Anh and Chi restaurant in Vancouver is a must.
Anh and Chi is the reinvention of a famous Vietnamese eatery named Pho Hoang. In existence for more than 33 years, the owners of the restaurant introduced Vietnamese flavors to their new home land. Inheriting and continuing the passion from the previous generation, Vincent Nguyen and Amelie Nguyen launched Anh and Chi in its place. Diners who come here are considered friends, and find a cozy space to meet, connect, enjoy food, and share about Vietnamese culture.
The space of Anh and Chi is modern, yet familiar. Visitors experience a taste of traditional Vietnam through oil lamps, green banana leaves, an exposed brick wall and interior design inspired by the conical hat.
Anh and Chi serves a variety of dishes including pho, rice vermicelli and rolls. Diners can also experience typical food of different regions in Vietnam such as a Hue steamed rice cake, Western Vietnam crêpe and Thang Long grilled fish, a specialty of Hanoi.
