Neon brights have been dominating the runways for spring/summer 2019, and this citrus ribbed turtleneck by 525 America on Shopbop is a go-to this season for cooler days. Choose an oversized blazer paired with a turtleneck and denim for a chic-yet-casual look. Feminine and bold is the trending strong fashion statement, exemplified by these over-the-top snakeskin boots from Zara. Everyone needs an animal print boot in their arsenal to bring a look up to another level.
- Top – Club Monaco
- Bottoms – Zara
- Shoes – Dynamite
- Handbag – Cult Gaia
- Belt – Gucci
There is never a dull moment when it comes to wearing head-to-toe white – a natural spring neutral. Fresh and feminine, add a pop of colour to the white backdrop, with a killer woven emerald handbag by Cult Gaia. Finished the outfit with a pair of snakeskin booties to add print and texture. As a ‘70s girl at heart, I am so glad that flared bottoms are here to stay. A good bell bottom not only imparts a vintage feel, but is eye-catching and great when you are tired of rocking your skinnies or mom jeans.
- Top – Self-Portrait
- Jeans – Levi’s
- Shoes – DSW
- Necklace – FOCALOOK
Asian designer Han Chong really tries to design what he believes women want in their wardrobe with his Self-Portrait label. He pays close attention to detail, from fabric to the intricacy of lace work. Pair a Self-Portrait blouse with denim for the weekend and head out to brunch or a night on the town. Slip on some Valentino lookalikes, and you are ready to go. As much as I lust for real designer goods, sometimes a great dupe is all you need, especially if you know that you will not wear them enough to justify the price. Instead, put your money towards more practical, classic designer pieces.
