Editors’ Letter – July 2019

Dear readers,

I’m proud to announce the launch of Culture Channel on YouTube at the start of July. Don’t hesitate to check out our channel for interesting videos. From trips to tips, we have many different series available that are entertaining and educating including culture and lifestyle, beauty and fashion advice, exploring Ontario, Vietnam, and more.

As the end of summer draws nearer during the month of August, opportunities to go out and enjoy the warm weather wanes. Before autumn arrives, go out and play some sports – the theme of our issue this month. On the front cover is Lee Nguyen, a Vietnamese-American soccer player for the Los Angeles FC. In our interview, Lee explains the keys to his success – quick thinking and rigorous training. Also, meet the two inspiring profiles, Vietnamese-Canadian figure skating champion Nam Nguyen and Vietnamese-French doctor Tran Tien Chanh, founder of the Xuan Charity.

Read about the history and facts of basketball and lacrosse, two popular Canadian sports. Or, read about golf clubs in Canada if you prefer taking in the flourishing beauty of nature while you exercise.

For the less athletically inclined, you can read about four recent fashion trends in Decoding Fashion, learn how to take care of your skin through our interview with a dermatologist, or if the summer heat makes you too lazy to go into the kitchen, check out our Six Secrets for Stress-Free Entertaining.

So, kick back, relax, and enjoy this issue of Culture Magazin. Have a blast this summer!
