Editors’ Letter – December 2019

The pine trees are lit up and the streets are decorated to welcome Christmas. It is time to say farewell to the old year and look forward to a new year. Have you planned for this holiday? Culture Magazin has some suggestions on interesting places to visit that are equally cozy and romantic.

Winter sparkles under the colorful lights. Get lost in a fairy land at the Aurora Winter Festival, and experience an enchanted walk into the bright future of 2099 with the premiere of a Terra Lumina show at Toronto Zoo.

Dispel the troubles of the year with world-renowned music and dance shows such as Anastasia, a live concert by Yiruma, and the Nutcracker ballet. Eating hot dishes on cold and snowy days is a great idea and we list some of the best places in Mississauga.

Our cover story is an interview with Hoang Thuy, who represented Vietnam in the international beauty pageant Miss Universe 2019 on Dec. 8th. Spend 5 minutes with Phi Huynh, a second generation Vietnamese in Canada who dreams of more Vietnamese representation in Hollywood.

Finally, if you are still structuring your business plan for the new year, the article Three Notable Factors in the Economy in 2020 may give you some ideas.

Our entire team wishes you, the beloved readers of Culture Magazin, and your families, loved ones, friends, colleagues, and neighbors, a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year.
